Young Stars Diver Finals at Junior Nationals
Connor Dean, group D diver, came tenth in the One Meter event at Junior Nationals in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Connor came to Stars diving in the summer of 2009 and brought with him many skills from gynastics. Diving and gymnastics are very similar in many respects but also very different in the execution of sport skills. Connor needed to learn new techniques to performs well in his new sport. Connor qualified for nationals for both springboard events. He also made the national point standard for the tower event once, but ran out of opportunity to quailfy again as there were no more competitions in the regualr season. Stars diving is very proud of Connor and wishes him well in the 2010-2011 season as he moves up in age category.

Stars Diver Medals at Senior Nationals
Melissa McCrady and long time friend Kate Brechun competed in their first Syncronized Diving event at the Winter Senior Nationals in their hometown pool. They had been training together for the event for only a few months. Both are accomplished individual divers in their own rights. Their coaches thought that they would make an excellent team, and they were right. Kate and Melissa came in as underdogs, but after practicing all week, heads were turning and their competitors were asking questions trying to find out all they could. Both divers and both coaches were nervous for the whole event, but level head and calm dives lead to an awesome performance and a bronze medal. More
